A Libyan ship bound for Gaza will dock at an Egyptian port if Israeli authorities won't allow it to unload in Gaza, one of the ship's owners said Tuesday. Greek businessman Aleksei Angeolopoulos says the Amalthea would prefer to unload its humanitarian cargo at the Egyptian port of El-Arish rather than the Israeli port of Ashod, The Jerusalem Post reports. The Amalthea left Greece Saturday carrying 2,000 tons of rice, sugar, corn oil and olive paste donated by Greek companies and charities, organizers say In addition to a crew of 12, the ship has 15 volunteers from Libya, Nigeria and Morocco. Plans call for it to arrive in Gaza on Wednesday. The ship is carrying humanitarian aid and food and there are no weapons or prohibited materials, as claimed by Israel, Angeolopoulos said.
