Rulers offer Eid prayers, receive greetings

Their Highnesses Members of the Supreme Council and Rulers of the Emirates offered Eid Al Fitr prayers on Sunday morning and later received crowd of well-wishers, who poured onto their palaces to extend Eid greetings.

His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai offered Eid prayers at Zabeel Mosque, along with Dubai Crown Prince Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance Shaikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Deputy Ruler Shaikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and a number of Shaikhs and senior officials.

In his Eid sermon, Imam Sheikh Omer Al Khatib, shone light on charitable works like visiting patients, hosting Iftar banquets, building mosques, schools and Quran memorisation centres, as well as sponsoring orphans.

Later, Shaikh Mohammed, flanked by Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Shaikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Shaikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, received Eid wishes from a number of Shaikhs, Speaker and members of the Federal National Council (FNC), dignitaries, ministers, commanders of army and police, head of government departments and a crowd of citizens and members of Arab, Islamic and foreign communities in the UAE.

The well-wishers greeted Shaikh Mohammed, wishing him good health and happiness and the UAE more progress and stability under the wise leadership.

SHARJAH: His Highness Dr Shaikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, offered the prayer at Al Badea Mussalah. Shaikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, Shaikhs and senior officials offered the prayer along with the Ruler. A large number of citizens and residents also joined them in the prayer. Dr Shaikh Sultan also received Eid greetings from Shaikhs, senior officials and citizens.

RAS AL KHAIMAH: His Highness Shaikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, and Shaikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, offered Eid Al Fitr prayers at the Grand Khuzam prayer Mussalah.

A number of other Shaikhs, officials, citizens and residents also joined them in the prayer.

FUJAIRAH: His Highness Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Fujairah, offered the Eid prayer at the Grand Eid Mussalah in Fujairah. Attending the prayer along with the Ruler were Fujairah Crown Prince Shaikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi and a number of Shaikhs, senior officials and a large number of citizens and residents.

UMM AL QUWAIN: His Highness Shaikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Umm Al Quwain, offered the Eid prayer at the Shaikh Zayed Mosque.

Crown Prince of Umm Al Quwain Shaikh Rashid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla offered prayer along with the Ruler. A number of Shaikhs, senior officials and a large group of citizens and residents joined them in the prayer.

AJMAN: His Highness Shaikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman, offered Eid Al Fitr prayer at the Shaikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi Mosque along with Ajman Crown Prince Shaikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi. Other Shaikhs, senior officials, citizens and residents also offered prayer with them.

The Rulers received Eid greetings from Shaikhs, senior officials, chairmen of federal and local govern ment departments and top army and police officers, as well as a number of citizens and members of resident Arab, Muslim and foreign communities at their palaces.

The well-wishers conveyed to the Rulers best Eid wishes for good health and happiness and wished the UAE more progress, prosperity, peace and stability. The audiences were attended by Crown Princes, Deputy Rulers and a number of Shaikhs and senior officials.

In Abu Dhabi, General Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, offered Eid Al Fitr prayer at the Shaikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi.

Shaikh Mohammed was joined by Shaikh Saif bin Mohammed Al Nahyan; Shaikh Surour bin Mohammed Al Nahyan; National Security Adviser Shaikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Shaikh Saeed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Ruler’s Representative; Shaikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation; Lt.-General Shaikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior; Shaikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Presidential Aviation Authority; Shaikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chief of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court; Shaikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister; Shaikh Omar bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation; Shaikh Khalid bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of Etihad Airways; Shaikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research; Shaikh Ahmed bin Saif Al Nahyan; Shaikh Sultan bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority; and a number of Shaikhs, senior civilian and military officials, Arab and foreign diplomats and a large crowd of citizens and residents.

After the prayer, Shaikh Mohammed, accompanied by Shaikhs and ministers visited the tomb of the late Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

Later, General Shaikh Mohammed received well-wishers at Al Mushrif Palace.

Shaikh Mohammed accepted warmest Eid greetings from Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum; Shaikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum; Shaikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah; Shaikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi; Shaikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi; Shaikh Rashid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mu’alla; Shaikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi; Mohammed Ahmed Al Murr, Speaker of Federal National Council; and Abdullah Al Masoud, Speaker of National Consultative Council.

Shaikh Mohammed also welcomed a number of Shaikhs, ministers, senior state officials, army and police commanders, top officials at security organs, accredited diplomats and representatives of international organisations, dignitaries and a crowd of citizens and residents.

The well-wishers extended heart-felt greetings to General Shaikh Mohammed, praying the Almighty to bless the UAE with further progress and well-being under the sagacious leadership of the President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Shaikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairperson of the General Women’s Union and the Family Development Foundation, received the well-wishers who called on her to offer Eid Al Fitr greetings at the Al Bahar Palace.

Among those who visited Shaikha Fatima were women ministers and members of the Federal National Council, wives of UAE ambassadors to foreign countries and foreign diplomats in the UAE, representatives of international organisations and Emirati women.
