Gun battle reported at Saudi-Yemen border   

Saudi Gazette - 17 August, 2012

A Saudi Border Guard unit exchanged gunfire with a group of people who were trying to cross into the Kingdom illegally.

According to officials, the group opened fire when the Border Guard spotted them trying to sneak into the country through Yemen.

The Border Guard returned fire and a brief fire fight ensued before the group returned back to the Yemen side. No injuries were reported.
