We close our ranks behind Khalifa

Khaleej Times - 05 August, 2012

His Highness Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Fujairah, said that what the UAE, under the leadership of the President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has been giving to its own people as well as to peoples of other nations is a source of pride.

“It is known to all that we are now among the advanced nations, have provided our people with all means of prosperous life, and now we are blessed with great graces that others are deprived of. This solid relationship between the leader and the people is a gift from God,” Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi said in an exclusive statement to Wam.

“Since its establishment by the late Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the UAE has been enjoying security, unity, safety, consistency of the rhetoric and cohesion between the guardians on the one hand and citizens of the nation on the other. The UAE was built on the principles of allegiance, affiliation and support to development and growth.

“Yet, in this holy month, a group of people has come up with a call for violating these fixed principles by a deviant method and aberrant ideas as they seek to divide the unity of opinion and the ranks, based on flimsy pretexts and false and unfounded accusations that exist only in their minds, driven by personal interests and tied to foreign agendas,” he said.

This ungrateful group of people, which is also thankless to their country which provides its citizens with all means of dignity, freedom and stature, do not seek reforms as they claim, Shaikh Hamad said, adding that they seek to spread corruption and to transfer the diseases and crises of other societies to this country.

“Therefore, and based on our love to our country and our leader the President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, as well on as our sincere adherence to our principles, we are all obliged to expose them and their falsity, to stand against whoever wants to violate the security of the nation and people. Their miserable thought and erratic confabulation cannot deceive our conscious and mindful people. Our people is a one solid whole and will not seek an alternative to its country or leadership for the sake of which it will offer all kinds of sacrifices.

“We therefore emphasise that we, people and officials, all close our ranks behind the wise leadership of the President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and back all his measures which seek to protect our country and people from all evils, disorder and sedition, whether seen or unseen, to deter whoever plans to break the order of society and state and to manipulate the assets and achievements of the state,” the Fujairah Ruler said.
