Kuwait Amb. hails economic ties with Algeria

Kuwait News Agency - 13 July, 2012

Kuwait's Ambassador to Algeria Saud Faisal Al-Deweesh praised on Thursday economic relations with Algeria, particularly in the areas of the management of water resources and seawater desalination.

Al-Deweesh made the remark to KUNA on the sidelines of a dinner banquet he hosted in honor of the delegation of the Kuwaiti Ministry of Electricity and Water to the first Algerian-Kuwaiti technical course on seawater desalination.

The Ambassador noted that technical course discussed means of exchanging expertise between the two nations in this field, while the Kuwaiti delegation reviewed the history of the Algerian experience in sea water desalination, considered the oldest in the region.

The two sides talked over various desalination techniques, as well as means of executing projects between the two nations.

The dinner ceremony was attended by Algerian Undersecretary of Water Resources Zaidan Marah, Head of projects of water desalination units at the Kuwaiti Ministry of Electricity and Water, Mohammad Rashid Al-Bahho, and high ranking officials from both sides.
