People's blood and lives not cheap

Gulf Daily News - 13 June, 2012

Justice will be enforced to deter any attempt to subvert national security and stability, The Premier pledged yesterday.

"People's lives are not cheap - neither is their blood," His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa said.

"The hand of justice will reach anyone seeking to undermine Bahrain's security and stability," he warned.

He was speaking as he visited the bereaved family of late Ahmed Salim Al Desry to offer condolences.

He described acts of terror targeting innocent lives as alien to tolerant Bahraini society.

He paid a heartfelt posthumous tribute to Mr Al Desry, praying Allah Almighty to rest his soul in eternal peace.

"Ahmed Salim Al Desry has died a noble death as he was trying to stave off harm from the streets, not knowing that criminals were preying on his life, intent on killing him," he said.

The bereaved family thanked HRH the Premier for his noble feelings, lauding his keenness to reach out to citizens. Picture - Page 14
