The anniversaries of Arab revolutions mark significant moments of reflection and assessment: Which dictators have fallen? What will the new systems look like? Why did some leaders fall quickly while others' conflicts are bloody and protracted? As scholars weigh the success or failure of their favourite political theories, citizens in the Arab world continue to struggle, even in the cases of relative success.
