Makkah, Rajab 23, 1433, Jun 13, 2012, SPA - Prince Dr. Mansour bin Miteb bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs said that the costs of the projects currently under implementation in the Holy Sites in Makkah, amounted to SR 1.4 billion.
In a press statement yesterday, after an inspection tour of the projects being implemented by the Ministry in the Holy Sites here, the Prince pointed out that the projects included Jamarat Bridge Facility, Slaughter-houses, 'Mashaer' Train services, roads and other utilities.
In response to a question on the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, about women's participation in the municipal councils according to Sharia principles, Prince Dr. Mansour bin Miteb said that the Ministry is working in the coming period to formulate the mechanism of action for women's participation alongside men in municipal councils.
