The MSM 30 Index yesterday continued its upward trend and closed 2 points higher at 5,533.64 up by 0.04 per cent with a market capitalisation of RO 11.161 billion, 0.01 per cent lower than the last trading session.

In yesterday’s trading session 1,247 trades were executed turning over RO 3.425. At session close, non-Omani investors switched to net sellers for RO 16,000.

The Industrial Index advanced by 0.52 per cent adding 36.22 points and closed at 6,969.18 points while the Financial Sector Index declined 0.52 per cent and shedding 36.22 points and closing at 6,303.18 points, and the Services Index closed down by 1.02 per cent at 2,652.06 points.

Of 52 traded stocks, 15 advanced, 24 declined and 13 remained unchanged.
Dhofar Insurance was the most gainer for the day and advanced by 4.09 per cent at RO 0.178, followed by Dhofar Cattle Feed up 3.36 per cent at RO 0.154, Oman Refreshment up 3.20 per cent at RO 2.164, National Finance up 2.68 per cent at RO 0.115 and Port Services Corp up 2.18 per cent at RO 0.421.

Al Batinah Development was the most loser in yesterday’s session declining by 5 per cent and closed at RO 0.057, Financial Services down 2.90 per cent at RO 0.067, Oman Investment and Finance down 2.84 per cent at RO 0.171, National Aluminium Products down 2.59 per cent at RO 0.226 and Al Hassan Engineering down 2.40 per cent at RO 0.163.
