Muscat Securities Market (MSM) general index 30 yesterday added 10 points to close at 5,509 points, constituting a rise by 0.18 per cent. The trading value yesterday stood at RO 4.7 million, comprising a rise by 10.89 per cent compared to the last session, which stood at RO 4.2 million.

The market value rose by 0.07 per cent to reach about RO 11.1 billion.

MSM report pointed out that the value of shares bought by non-Omani investors reached RO 551,000, comprising 11.78 per cent. The value of shares sold by non-Omani investors reached RO 564,000 comprising 12.08 per cent. The net non-Omani investment declined by 0.29 per cent to RO 14,000.

The total revenue of MSM 30 Index companies including investment holding companies reached RO 752.833 million for the first quarter of the current fiscal, registering an increase of 4.2 per cent on a year on year basis.
