Revenue of F&B outlets in ADIA reaches Dhs38.2m in H1

Gulf Today - 10 August, 2012

The year-to-date sales of Food and Beverages at Abu Dhabi International Airport (ADIA) were Dhs38.2 million in the first half (H1) of the year.

This is an increase of 47.1 per cent compared to the same period in 2011. The passenger growth totaled 22.8 per cent for the first six months of 2012.

Dan Cappell, Senior Vice President Commercial of ADAC said: “A number of factors contribute to the continued dynamic growth of sales in the second quarter. The addition of new outlets at Abu Dhabi International Airport has driven the Food and Beverages (F & B) business both in terms of revenue and by providing a greater variety of options for the airport customers.”

“SSP, McDonald’s, Bricco Café operated by Airest Collezioni, Starbucks and Costa Coffee have all had a positive impact on sales in the first six months,” he added.

“ADAC remains committed to investing in passenger amenities, and delivering a world-class offer that represents a real value for money proposition for all travelers. Additional initiatives such as complimentary Wi-Fi access, free use of computer stations, children’s play areas and lounges for economy passengers, reflect ADAC’s commitment to enhancing customers experience when traveling to, from or via Abu Dhabi International Airport,” Cappell added.
