Design of e-media services portal for media depts soon

A visual presentation was made at the Information Ministry yesterday for the construction and design of the e-media services portal and the development of media websites for Oman News Agency (ONA), the Public Authority for Radio and TV (PART), Oman Centre for Traditional Music (OCTM) and the websites of media units.

The presentation was made 1342026090883575500 by the International Information Technology Company.

The presentation was attended by Dr Abdulmunim bin Mansour al Hasani, Minister of Information and officials at the Information Ministry.

Abdullah bin Mubarak al Nuaimi, Director of Omanet, said in a statement to Oman News Agency (ONA) that the project aims at ensuring more interactive relations among the websites of the media departments 1342026114443577000 included in the project. He added that the project will be a window and a communication link through which the Sultanate will have a window over the world.

It will also be a platform to process all media transactions and achieve the aims of the Omani media man’s message.

The e-media services portal project includes e-book library, video library, picture library, e-archive, e-media services, reports and articles, in addition to comments or enquiries on the materials published by news editors.

The project also includes the design of an interactive front page. The site will be easily browsed and will provide interfaces in more than one language.

The project, which takes up to 10 months, will begin soon.
