The Tender Board has awarded 24 projects worth RO 63 million for the implementation of water, electricity and infrastructure services in different parts of the Sultanate. The projects, which add up to 63,045,676 Omani rials, were awarded the Tender Board’s 19th meeting of the year held here yesterday under the auspices of Dr Rasheed bin al-Safi al Huraibi, Chairman of the Tender Board.

The projects include the construction of water distribution networks in the Wilayats of Ibra and Al Qabil in the Governorate of North A'Sharqiyah (RO 25,428,651); Construction of asphalt road in the Wilayat of Madha in the Governorate of Musandam (RO 15,698,822); Expansions in the electrical current lines and their associated electromechanical works at Omantel sites for fixed and mobile phones (7,800,000); Additional works related to the supply, installation, integration and operation of (3G) equipment (RO 4,080,162); Supply, installation, integration, testing and operation of power generators and their associated electromechanical works at Omantel sites (RO 2,000,000); Construction of a bridge that connects old Diba to new Diba in the Wilayat of Diba in the Governorate of Musandam (RO 1,415,800); Supply and installation of catalysts for the Isomers Treatment Unit at Mina Al Fahl Refinery (RO 1,332,502); Developing and upgrading the efficiency of Varian system at the Oncology Center at the Royal Hospital (RO 1,292,848); Additional works for the construction of water distribution network in Hijj village in the Wilayat of Mahut at the Governorate of Al Wusta (RO 976,018); Maintenance of equipment at all health units in the Governorate of North A'Sharqiyah (RO 393,244); Additional works for the construction of the digital TV studios complex (RO 375,000); additional works for the consultancy services for amending the design of Birkat Al Mouz -

Seeq road (RO 329,074);additional works related to the maintenance of dust roads at the mountainous areas in the Governorate of Dhofar (RO 300,000); Additional works for the construction of water supply network in the Wilayat of A'Duqm (RO 278,130); The Board also opened bids for tender No 61/2012 for the supply of surgical materials for the Health Ministry and the tender No 27/2012 for the construction of (132 KV) dual-power line with its association (11/33/132 KV) distribution stations in the Governorate of Musandam.
