Gulf Finance wins 'Best SME Finance Company' Award

Gulf Finance executives receive the 'Best SME Finance Company' plaque on behalf of the company at the 2012 Banker Middle East Industry Awards.

GULF Finance, a wholly owned subsidiary of SHUAA Capital and leading UAE-based boutique finance company, has been awarded the "Best SME Finance Company" at the 2012 Banker Middle East Industry Awards. Gulf Finance was also short-listed in the "Best Business Finance Company" category.

Sheikh Maktoum Hasher Al Maktoum, Executive Chairman of SHUAA Capital and Chairman of Gulf Finance, said: "This award is further recognition for Gulf Finance’s strong performance and client service in the SME sector, a vital contributor to the UAE economy. Receiving an award from Banker Middle East for the second consecutive year, cements our position as a market leader and we are proud that our deep commitment to the SME community is again recognized."

Steve Williams, Chief Executive Officer, Gulf Finance, added: "We remain dedicated to producing new and innovative financing solutions for our clients. We have recently strengthened our business with two new Board members who will help further diversify our loan portfolio and institutionalize the business in anticipation of our regional expansion." Gulf Finance facilitates access to capital to the power, oil and gas, logistics, printing and media, manufacturing and healthcare industries.

Over the last decade Gulf Finance has provided over AED3 billion in finance to SMEs within the UAE.
