New web-based healthcare plan in Saudi Arabia lifts efficiency, quality

Saudi Gazette - 31 May, 2012

At the start of 2012 the Saudi Ministry of Health revealed the signing of healthcare project contracts worth around SR3 billion. The announcement underscores increasing local demand for world-class health services and is expected to further boost the Saudi healthcare market, which is expected to expand at a compound annual growth rate of 12.3 percent through 2015 at a spending value of over SR 26 billion.

One of the key spending areas is in information systems (IS), with hospitals seeking advanced solutions for managing its critical data assets. CompuGroup Medical (CGM), a dedicated software provider for the healthcare sector focusing on the provision of eHealth solutions to the international markets, intends to contribute to this demand through its newly-launched corTTex® Next Generation healthcare platform.

Among the benefits of the corTTex® Next Generation are its enhanced user friendly features in terms of additional functionality, enhanced modeling and faster access to medical data.
Additionally, the new platform boasts improved efficiency, quality, flexibility and technology to better address the medical requirements, and further contributes to the growth of the sector.

corTTex Next Generation is a totally web based healthcare platform basically implemented with Physician Order Entry and Results Management Module (POERM) which provides centric desktop display for physicians to organize and access daily tasks and complete the patient’s medical record.

Mehmet Bilginsoy, General Manager, CGM Middle East, said: "We are confident that corTTex will prove beneficial to medical institutions in the Kingdom and complement our efforts to support the KSA Government’s health agenda. We believe that it is also important for healthcare products and systems companies to coordinate with the government on the development of next-generation healthcare infrastructure."

The corTTex platform is an integrated hospital management information system environment that combines computer medicine, information processing, resource planning, data communication, and clinical systems technologies to form a unique solution to everyday problems of health and patient care organizations.

It is designed to reduce costs associated with medical center operation diagnoses and patient treatments, improve onsite access to medical information, and improve functional and physical links between healthcare entities such as out-patient clinics, mobile rescue units, medical centers and field hospitals. – SGNew web-based healthcare plan in Kingdom lifts
