Doha Bank announces Al Dana draw winner   

The Peninsula - 03 December, 2009

The outcome of the most awaited grand event of Doha Bank, The Al Dana Savings Scheme 2009 8th Monthly Millionaire Draw was held at the InterContinental Hotel after the Green Run.

Representatives from Consumer Protection Department, Doha Bank Senior Management, Doha Bank staff and more than 2,000 registered participants of the Al Dana Green Run were present during the draw.

Indian national, Thudiyluth Abdulla Ashraf was the winner of the draw.

He has been one of Doha Bank s valued customers and has been banking with Doha Bank since 2008.

When Doha Bank called him to inform the news, he couldn’t believe that he had won a million riyals. On asking what he would do with such a large sum of money, a calm and composed. Ashraf said he would like to invest in the Qatar economy by setting up a business.

Congratulating the winner, R Seetharaman, Group CEO, Doha Bank, said, ‘We would like to thank our customers through this scheme and assure them that there are many more prizes and surprises in store for them this year in 2009 and there are fresh new ideas being planned for 2010. 

The Al Dana Savings Scheme gives out one million riyals every month. More than QR8,000,000 has been given away as prize money under Al Dana Scheme. The customer can invest QR1000 in this account or buy a certificate to ensure a chance in the draw. Parents can ensure that children are eligible for the draw by investing QR500 in their Young Saver Account.

Al Dana Savings Scheme gives you an opportunity to save and win one million riyals at the same time. The 9th Al Dana draw is due to take place shortly.
