Qatar to launch donation campaign for Syrians July 25

Kuwait News Agency - 25 July, 2012

A Qatari donation campaign, organized by charitable organizations, to help the Syrian people will be launched tomorrow Wednesday.

The campaign, "All for Sham," aims at meeting needs of Internally-Displaced Persons (IDPs) or Syrian refugees in neighboring countries - Jordan, Lebanon and Turkey.

Head of the campaign Dr. Faisal bin Jassem Al-Thani told a news conference Tuesday the donation campaign, due until July 29, would be offering food, shelter, medicine and medical equipment for the needy Syrians.

"The Syrian people needs our help ... until the end of this ordeal which claimed lives of thousands of innocent people as well as leaving many injured, sick and displaced," he said.

Al-Thani said the Qatari charitable organizations were keen to helping the Syrian refugees in and outside Syria.

He called on all Qataris to contribute to the donationa campaign.
