Yemen ready to ease charitable orgs' tasks

Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Mohamed al-Sadi confirmed on Monday the ministry’s readiness to ease tasks of any charitable organization so as to serve the society in Yemen.

"Such charitable acts and projects contribute to building the national cohesion among the people and create a balanced relationship between the rich and the poor”, al-Sadi said At the opening ceremony of the Qatar Charitable Society’s office in Yemen, which was organized in Sana'a by the Social and Charitable Al-Islah Society.

He explained that Yemen is suffering difficult conditions and has a human wealth, which required that the charitable organizations and societies in the Arab world exert efforts to support the humanitarian projects and achieve the social solidarity, affirming that Qatar has a strong desire to support such projects.

Al-Sadi called for coordination with the official authorities and charitable organizations working in Yemen to implement the charitable projects.

He noted to the positive initiative of the Qatar Charitable Society in opening its office in Sana’a to follow up and implement its charitable projects in cooperation with its counterparts in Yemen.

For his part, Executive Chief of Qatar Charitable Society Yousef bin Ahmed al-Kowari pointed out that opening of the Society’s office in Yemen came at the desire of a number of Qatari charitable people, who have strong ties with their brothers in Yemen.

“The office aims to present humanitarian services quickly and with better quality through the direct supervision on the projects of the Society”, al-Kowari said, indicating that the office in Yemen is the 16th office among the Society’s offices in the world countries.
