Yemeni President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi has expressed thanks and appreciation to the President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, for granting Dh500 million as food aid for Yemen.

The move is to alleviate the suffering and ensure the availability of basic needs to the Yemeni population. The Yemeni president’s acknowledgment and appreciation came during his meeting with Abdullah Matar Al Mazroui, the UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Yemen, who called on him on Sunday night, in the presence of Yemeni Prime Minister Mohamed Salem Basendwah.

“This humanitarian gesture of the UAE leadership reflects the deep-rooted fraternal ties between the UAE and Yemen. The UAE’s support to Yemen is a continuation of the generous initiatives and legacy of the late Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan,” he said.
