Russia has declared its support for steps and decisions taken by President Abdo Rabu Mansour Hadi to start a national dialogue.

In his statement during a press conference held on Friday in Moscow, spokesman for the Russian Foreign Ministry Alexander Ukashević praised the decision of President Hadi to form a liaison committee to communicate with non-signatory parties in the Gulf initiative which considered as a prelude for the formation of the national dialogue committee.

"By implementing this procedure, Yemen has taken a move towards an actual embodiment of the initiative's items and its executive mechanism signed in Riyadh on November 2011" the Russian official said.

Ukashević went further by saying there is a hope the national dialogue in Yemen would be comprehensive and would contribute in solving the economic and social issues.
